Precision Inspections. From an experienced, Licensed Inspector.
Meet the Inspector Behind Bedrock Home Inspection
I’m Alex Hayhurst and I am the sole owner operator of Bedrock Home Inspections. I didn't come to home inspection as an outsider looking in — I came to it after years of standing inside the walls, on the job sites, and in the closing rooms where these houses actually get built, bought, fixed, and sold.
Before founding Bedrock Home Inspection, I spent a decade working across three sides of residential real estate that most inspectors never see up close:
Home Inspector. I hold my Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential through InterNACHI, the same organization behind the industry's most rigorous training standards. I have worked as an inspector for one of Denver’s premier home inspection company at the beginning of my career and bring those skills and experience to our home inspection.
New Construction Warranty Representative. I spent time on the other side of the builder-buyer relationship, working directly with new homeowners to identify and resolve workmanship issues during their builder's warranty period. I learned firsthand which construction shortcuts show up as real problems in year one — and which ones don't show up until the warranty has already expired. That's exactly why I built Bedrock's 11-month warranty inspection into a specialty, not an afterthought: I know what to look for before that coverage window closes for good.
Construction Manager, Fix-and-Flip Renovations. I managed renovation projects from purchase to resale for a residential investment company — overseeing contractors, budgets, timelines, and the countless small decisions that determine whether a renovated house holds up or hides problems behind fresh paint. I've seen both ends of the spectrum: the corners that get cut under budget pressure, and the fixes that actually last. That perspective is now built into how I inspect — and it's why investors and landlords get a report from me that speaks their language, focused on the big-ticket systems that actually move a deal.
Why This Background Matters to You
Most inspectors have only ever inspected. I've also built, repaired, and warrantied the very things I now inspect — which means when I flag something in your report, it comes with the context of someone who has actually stood in front of that problem before, with a hammer or a punch list in hand, not just a checklist.
Whether you're a buyer trusting me to protect the biggest purchase of your life, an agent who needs a report that's fast, clear, and defensible, or an investor who needs to know what a repair will actually cost before you commit — my job is the same: give you the truth about the house, plainly and thoroughly, so you can make your decision with confidence.
My Commitment to You
Thorough, unbiased reporting — my only obligation is to what I find, never to a deal closing.
Same-day, photo-rich reports so you're never left waiting to make a decision.
A background in construction and renovation that goes beyond identifying a problem to explaining what it actually means and what it will take to fix it.
Personal service — I perform every inspection myself. You're never handed off to a junior inspector or a rotating crew.
